An ode to the beauty of imperfection

Handmade jewellery inspired by aerial views of Mexico

Our new collection, Raíces, is now live! We named it 'Raíces', roots in Spanish, as our founder and designer, Montserrat Alonso, went back to her Mexican roots in her creative process as she developed the line. Raíces was created with one purpose, to remind us of our connection with the planet and the beauty of imperfection.

We used our founder’s favourite destinations as a source of inspiration. More specifically, aerial views that show the intertwining textures and colours of landscapes across the country. From the Bacalar Lagoon to the pyramids of Coba, in Yucatan, and Mitla, in Oaxaca, and the coasts and sunsets of the beaches like Sayulita and Cozumel.

Pico de Orizaba, Veracruz

Through wax modelling, this collection explores the play of volumes and textures resulting in organic shapes, with touches of colour from precious gemstones, including pink tourmalines, diamonds, citrines, sapphires, and peridots.

All pieces are modelled in wax by our founder in East London, cast in recycled sterling silver and stone set in Hatton Garden, London, UK. All pieces are available in recycled sterling silver and a couple of them in 18ct gold vermeil too.

The collection has taken over a year and a half to perfect, so we hope you like them as much as we enjoyed making them!
